Attention all Fifth through Eighth Grade Students: Sign up today to join the Concert Band! The signup sheet is located on the music room bulletin board!
Concert Band consists of the flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and percussion. Each instrument group will meet once a week for practice during 6th period;
- The practice schedule will be posted outside the music room.
- Students in Concert Band are required to obtain their instruments through the rental company, NEMC.

Starting in November, become a member of the Shrewsbury Debate Team:
- Hone your skills as a debater
- Examine issues from multiple perspectives
- Develop your ability to assert, reason, and provide evidence

Tiger Tales - Literary Magazine
Tiger Tales is a club focused on the joys and wonders of writing and written communication. Students enjoy freedom in choosing their own writing topics, genres and styles, ranging from articles on school events, reviews of music, movies or television shows, current events taking place outside the 07702, and creative works including, but not limited to, poetry, short stories in serialized form, and illustrations or graphics.
Membership is available to all students in grades 6-8. Tiger Tales Meetings are generally held on Monday or Tuesday during 6th period lunch or after school. Please listen to the morning announcements and check the Tiger Tales Google Classroom page for updates on upcoming meetings.

Spanish Club
Spanish Club is to promote the use of Spanish language and learn more about the culture and history of Spanish speaking people and to have fellowship among club members, in addition to having an informal conversation practice.
Everyone is welcome to join The Spanish Club. The beauty of this kind of club is that there is always something everyone can do
Activities we are planning to have:
- Spanish reading, conversations & presentations
- Celebrate Hispanic holidays
- Online Spanish games
- Make crafts such as : Piñatas, papel picado for Día de los muertos
- Enjoy Spanish culture and music (Song, dances, famous artists)
- Exchange Latin food recipes ( eat together)
- Occasionally, we may see films in Spanish (with English subtitles)
Membership Requirements:
Membership is open to all middle school students taking Spanish. Members of the club must follow Shrewsbury Boro School Safety Policies Guidelines and Procedures. In order to become a member, a student needs to fill up a membership form available in room 423, the Spanish classroom.
Meetings dates:
The meetings will be on the last Friday of the month. If the meeting day changes for a particular reason students members of the club will receive an email from the advisor of the club Señora Montiel.
